My little workspace came with 1 60watt bulb and an outlet. Lighting was dim at best against the far wall. Any work I did had to be with the door open with daylight streaming in. Decided with my upcoming overhaul I wanted to take some pretty pictures.

Found these lights at home depot from commercial electric for 40$ a piece, 32 watt lights and you can hook up to 9 of them together. They are so much brighter and use about the same electricity. They are LED and advertise a 50,000 hour usage with a lifetime warranty if I remember.

Highly suggest upping the light game, makes it so much easier to find things that are dropped, and it’s crazy what you notice when you don’t have to aim a light at something.

Working on something interesting for the bottom of the car. Soon to come.

I need to step up my light game in the garage too. I’ve been considereing mounting flourescent lights on the wall so as to better illuminate wheel wells and underneath cars that I’m working on. Sometimes at night, overhead lights make shadows a bit tricky underneath a car.

$40 for led is not bad compared to $20 for a fluorescent fixture.

Those are definitely on my list for the garage. $35 each at Costco.

Especially when you factor in that fluorescent fixtures usually sell the bulbs separate.

That’s what I’m going to solve next. I had the same idea wall mounting some lights at floor level, but I realized that would play some additional trickery unless you could get the car high enough in the air. If the company I’m buying from has figured out their problems, then I’m going to be pretty excited about what I have planned. Not revolutionary, but really dirt cheap.

If they are similar to the ones I got, highly suggested. 8ft of light at 6400 lumens is awesome!

a bunch of lights was a great investment in my garage.

LED is pretty appealing though, as mine are fluro. Connect 9 together would be handy also

The fluro lights they had on display were dimming pretty rapidly, and some of the LED ones were really pathetic, but these had good reviews so I thought I would give them a shot. Very pleasantly surprised.

I hear ya, that’s the good thing about these, they said instant start up and no flickering to date at least on the reviews I read. We’ll see how they go.
